All visitors must present ID and complete the sign-in visitor form at the service desk every time they enter the ALB Library. Visitors may be asked to show a photo ID.
Visitors may not borrow books or other materials.
All public computers in the library require a Canisius University account for access to the Internet. Current Canisius students have priority for computers, space and resources.
Guest accounts may be available for research. Computers are not available to visitors during busy times which are determined by the Librarian on duty. If computer access is granted, a 30 minute limit will be enforced.
Printing is available to visitors at $.10 per B&W page. Color printing is $1.00 per page. Visitors may print no more than 10 pages per visit using the guest account.
Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult when in the ALB Library.
Anyone engaged in inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave ALB Library. Inappropriate behavior includes disruptive behavior and inappropriate use of Library facilities or equipment including computers.
We are a WNYLRC AcademicSHARE library. Therefore, AcademicSHARE Member libraries agree to allow on-site access and lend materials to any current college student, staff, and/or faculty member from another WNYLRC member academic library. However, at minimum, a verifiable valid college I.D. is required. The library may choose to treat the college I.D. as confirmation the student/faculty member is in good standing. Other proof of identification or status may be required.
In addition, all of the libraries listed below have agreed to continue to provide services to InfoPass cardholders who are not AcademicSHARE participants.
